It's a shock. Everton in the English Premier League (EPL) faced the biggest crisis ever.

The Premier League secretariat officially announced on its website on the 17th, "The Independent Committee immediately imposed a 10-point cut on Everton for violating the Premier League (PL) Profitability and Sustainability Regulations (PSR)."

The PSR (Profitability and Sustainability Rules) regulations are evaluated annually by all PL clubs for compliance with the rules. Typically, the club's total sales generated over the past three years are calculated and evaluated. However, if losses exceed 105 million pounds (about 169 billion won) during the period, they will be investigated and disciplined for violating regulations.

Depending on the degree of violation, the committee can impose sanctions such as fines or points cuts. The Commission decided to impose a heavy penalty of cutting points, judging that the Everton losses incurred over the past three years were too enormous. 사설토토

The PL Secretariat said, "Everton admitted to violating PSR regulations at the end of the 2021-2022 season. However, there is still debate about the degree of violation,' he explained. He added, "The independent committee judged that 124.5 million pounds (about KRW 2004 billion) was lost during the period."

Everton crashed into the relegation zone. Before the disciplinary action was announced, Everton were ranked 14th with four wins, three draws and five losses (14 points). However, as 10 points were cut, it fell by a whopping five notches. It is tied with Burnley (4 points, 1 win, 1 draw, 10 losses), the lowest in the league, and fell to 19th place, ahead of the difference in gains and losses.
